Celebrations Party & Rental was founded in 2003 in Ames, Iowa, with a simple goal: to help people celebrate life’s moments with ease and creativity. What began as a small party store has grown into a full-service event rental company serving corporations, schools, weddings, and private events across Central Iowa.

Growing With Our Community

After purchasing an existing party store in Boone, owner Stephanie Taylor Burnett expanded rental inventory and relocated the business to Ames. Over the years, Celebrations moved into larger spaces, expanded both party and rental inventory, and in 2015 acquired its competition—adding tents and large-scale event rentals to better serve the community.

Our Locations & Operations

Today, Celebrations operates out of its permanent home at 302 S. 3rd Street in Ames, which houses the party supply store and linen operations. We offer an extensive linen collection with 50+ colors and styles, alongside décor for ceremonies and receptions.

In 2017, we expanded further with a new 8,000 sq. ft. warehouse, dedicated to tents, tables, chairs, staging, and large event equipment.

Meet the Family Behind the Events

In 2015, John Burnett, Stephanie’s husband, joined the business and now oversees tent operations. Together, they lead a growing team that manages an inventory of 1,000+ tables, 4,000 chairs, décor, centerpieces, concession machines, audio, lighting, and more—ensuring events of every size are fully supported.

Meet Our Team

Stephanie & John Burnett

Owners

We built a new 8000 square ft warehouse in 2017 to the west of our existing building that houses our tent, chair, table and staging inventory. 

 John Burnett, Stephanie’s husband joined the business in 2015 and runs the tent operations. As of 2019 Celebrations maintains an inventory of over 1000 tables, 4000 chairs, over 15 styles of centerpieces, décor for wedding ceremonies/receptions, concession machines, audio and lighting equipment and much more. Our Celebrations family is proud to continue to expand our offerings while maintaining our operations as a family owned company that puts our customers first.

Janel Tucker

Manager

Janel is originally from Iowa City. She has been a manager at Celebrations for two years now and been with the company over 15 years.

She has a son Charles who is headed to Central College to play baseball, a daughter Madysin who is in high school, and another son Colton who is 4. Charles and Madysin also work for the company and we plan to recruit Colton one day too. In her free time Janel enjoys playing the banjo and square dancing.

Montrell Washington

Head Foreman

Montrell has been our head foreman for the past several years.

He lives with his girlfriend Jenna in Gilbert, Iowa and has a 7 year son named Osiris. In his free time he enjoys building computers and loves boxing. He also likes to latch hook and collect stamps.

Logan Krausman

Assistant Foreman

Logan recently graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in business management.

He lives in West Des Moines with his sheepadoodle Maverick and enjoys video gaming in his spare time. He also has a passion for rollerskating and breakdancing.
